FAQs
Q1. How do I pay for
InternetTalker?
A1.
Simply enter a valid credit card. You will be charged for
your initial order. Your card will also be automatically
charged once a month for whichever calling plan you select.
You can cancel at any time, and start up again at any time.
Q2.
How do I pre-pay for
international calls?
A2.
Simply go to your account control panel and enter a valid
credit card number and the amount you would like to add to
your account. Your account balance will be increased
immediately.
Q3. What happens when my
calling account is empty?
A3.
When you are near your limit, you will hear a warning tone.
This means you should add more money to your calling account
right away. If you exceed your allotted minutes, you will no
longer be able to place calls until you add money to your
account (but you can still receive calls from other
InternetTalker customers).
Q4. Can I receive calls
on my InternetTalker?
A4.
Your InternetTalker is assigned a unique 10-digit number,
and can be dialed from any other InternetTalker. Receiving
incoming calls from standard telephones is not supported at
this time. Check back later for an update on this feature.
Q5. Must I pre-pay for
US long-distance calls?
A5.
No. The InternetTalker calling service gives you unlimited
calling to other InternetTalker users, plus a certain number
of free US long distance minutes, depending on the plan you
choose. For example, the basic USA 300 plan ($11.95)
includes 300 free minutes every month. After you use up
those minutes, you will need to add additional money to your
plan to make additional calls. If you find yourself running
out of minutes every month, you may wish to upgrade to the
US 500 or the USA 1000 plan.
Q6. How good is the call
quality?
Q7.
When making a call directly from one InternetTalker to
another, you will probably experience better quality than on
an ordinary telephone call. Because the entire call is
handled digitally, there is no static or noise. When calling
from a InternetTalker to a standard phone, the quality is
comparable to a traditional phone call.
Q7. I sometimes see ads
for calling rates that seem better than yours. Why?
A7.
Most low-cost long distance providers have hidden charges in
their rate plans which make their rates deceptive. There are
no hidden or extra fees in our plans.
Do you know about these common calling card tactics?

|
Charging for a minimum
call time (a two minute call is charged as a 15 minute
call) |
|
|
Charging a per-call connect fee
|
|
|
Hidden taxes, fees, and recovery
charges |
|
|
Refusing to give you a detailed
account of all calls made and charges applied |
|
|
Publishing off-peak rates that are
only available at certain times |
Q8. Does InternetTalker
require a phone line?
A8.
InternetTalker does not require a phone line. However, if
you have a phone line, InternetTalker works with it so that
you can place your local calls on your local phone line and
place your long distance calls over our digital network, all
from the same phone. Incoming calls will also ring at that
phone.
